I Found Them!!!!!!!!!!

Bryce, Cory, Chris, Natalie and Me.

I have been missing my family and friends alot lately so I decided to open up a Facebook account to see if I could find any of my old friends. Within 5 minutes of opening my account I found my long lost Chris and then my buddy Bryce. I was so excited. It made my week. Chris told Cory to open a Facebook account so that I could get in contact with him also. I then ran across Nate (who is not pictured). It was so much fun to reminisce about the days before marriage and kids. The good old camping trips, waterfights and the lazy Sunday afternoons. I have some great memories of these guys. They were all like brothers to me. I still have a couple more friends that I would love to get in touch with. This is my little bit of advice. Keep in contact with those who are important to you. It was pretty easy for me to find these few friends, but I was lucky. It isn't always easy to track people down. Thank goodness for the internet.

Abigail's 3rd Birthday

My baby is 3 years old now. Wow how the time flies. On her birthday we woke up and she opened up her gifts from Me, Zach and the kids and then we went to Michigan Adventure. We didn't have time for a birthday cake so we had a birthday party on Sunday. We invited Ryan, Emily and their kids, and a 3 other families from church. We had Dora cake and ate on Dora plated and Dora napkins and drank from Dora cups. Abigail has been telling me for about 3 months now that she wants a Dora birthday so a Dora birthday is what she got. I made her cake and it had some earthquake issues but hey it only made it more realistic. I also ran out of frosting so it looks quite sad but Abby loved it anyway. She got some Dora and Diego play figures and a couple of dresses. She also got some princess and Dora pajamas. She was in heaven when everyone gathered around the table to sing Happy Birthday to her. You can tell by the look on her face in the second to the last picture. Happy Birthday Abigail.

Cubs Game at Wrigley Field

This was our view for the first 7 innings of the game. Can you see the players? Neither could we.

Another view a little bit closer.
The view after we finally got seats.
Ken Griffy Jr. Hall of Famer.

After a fun morning of fishing with Rob and his boys, we went to a Cub game in Chicago. We got to the game late due to traffic, construction and finding a parking spot. We arrived in the second inning and there were no more seats in the bleachers so the only way that we could see the game was to go into this screened area and watch the game standing up through a green screen. It was misserable. We finally moved to a better standing area to watch the game and then it started to rain which was to our advantage. While everyone was leaving we were trying to snatch some seats. Zach and the boys saved our seats while Rob and I went down under the bleachers to get out of the rain. It finally stoped raining and we were able to enjoy the Cubs loose. What a day. We had a wonderful morning fishing and a terrible evening at the game. Wrigley Field stinks!!!

Charter Boat on Lake Michigan

The largest catch of the day. Way to go Ty Ty.

Zach and I finally got to go fishing together. He usually goes by himself while I stay home and watch kids, but not this time. Zach's brother Rob and his kids flew in from Utah and chartered a fishing boat to go fishing on Lake Michigan. Zach and I left from Holland at 3:15 am and drove to Illinois near the Wisconsin border. We met up with Rob, Ryne and Tyler and went salmon and Steelhead fishing. We had a slow start but we ended up catching 8 salmon and 1 steelhead trout. Tyler caught the largest salmon. It was about 9lbs. I caught 2 salmon. The lake was calm and I didn't get sea sick. Thanks Rob, Ryne and Ty for letting us go with you and being so fun to hang with.

Michigan Adventure

Back in June we were able to go to Michigan Adventure with Ryan's work. It was the first time that we had been there. We went with Ryan, Emily and their clan and some friends from church, Derrick, Julia and their boys. We had a great time. The kids were in heaven. Abigail was a little bit scared of the rides that went up in the air but the other ones were fun for her. MaKayla's favorite ride was a huge, old rickety wooden rollercoaster. Jacob liked the boat that swung from side to side. Abigail loved the ferris wheel. We were able to return on July 12th with Zach's employee party which was on Abigail's birthday. We rode the rides and also went to the water park. What a great day.

4th of July

Jacob caught a little creature in the Muskegon River with his hands.
Zach caught a large creature in the Muskegon River with his hands.
Mallory's catch at our lake across the street. What a beautiful blue gill.
Sidney's catch at the lake. She looks so proud.

We had a crazy 4th of July. Shauna, Jason and their girls arrived on Wed. Mariah, Art and their kids and Andrew, Steph and their boys all arrived on Thurs. Friday we floated down the Muskegon River and had a picnic at a friends house on the shore of the river. It is always such fun when the MacPherson's get together. The boys had their movie night and the girls went shopping. We also had some great fireworks provided by Andrew, Jasons and Art. We were so happy to see everyone and we had a blast.

Parker and Michelle Visit Michigan. YEA!!!

We had a fabulous time with Parker and Michelle. We went to a huge indoor water park called Great Wolf Lodge. It has a huge water park and fun hotel rooms. We then left from there and went camping overnight at Sleeping Bear Dunes. It is a huge sand dune that you can climb and then run down as fast as you want. I doesn't hurt if you fall you just get sand in every crack and cranny. We also went to Grand Haven to see the lighthouse. While we were on the pier a huge thunderstorm came in off the lake. It started to rain and lightening. It was pretty cool. We also spent a day at Lake Michigan. On our way to take them to the airport we went to Chicago. We walked around downtown and Parker and Michelle went to the top of the Hancock Building to see the amazing view of Chicago. We went to lunch at the famous Gino's East and had real Chicago style deep dish pizza. It was so much fun to see them and spend that one on one time with them. We hope we didn't wear them out too much with all the driving. We hated to see them go. Thanks Parker and Michelle for making the sacrifice to come see us. It really meant alot to us. We love you!!!
