We have an awesome ward. We have so many families that are our age and some are in the same boat as we are as in that they don't have family that live close. We have a couple in the ward that owns a greenhouse and alot of property. Every spring they plant a garden for the ward. Whoever comes and works in the garden gets to take home anything they want. We didn't get to work in the garden as much as we wanted to, but we sure did get alot of vegis. I was able to do some canning and freezing. I froze a ton of bell pepers, corn and green beans. I also canned strawberry jam, strawberry syrup, stewed tomatoes, diced tomatoes, peaches, peach jam, apple pie filling and chilli sauce. I got the strawberries, peaches and apples from somewhere else. Wow that's alot. By the time I got the chilli sauce done I was very sick of canning. Here are some pictures of the kids with their huge bunch of baby carrots from the garden and also they helped me shuck corn. Abigail loved to shuck the corn. She did a great job too.
